#BELLABABE Beauty Hacks: Perfecting Powder

As any beauty enthusiast knows, there are so many layers to a beauty routine with primers, foundations, liners, lipsticks and so much more.  Let's be frank - it can be overwhelming at times.  With this in mind, Mirabella is excited to introduce a new segment to the blog - #BELLABABE Beauty Hacks.  Every month, here on the blog, team Mirabella will be highlighting a Mirabella product and giving you the tips, tricks, and hacks to maximize the product's potential to the fullest!  We are kicking off this new series with Perfecting Powder, Mirabella's translucent silica-based setting powder.

Perfecting Powder - A Breakdown

This finely-milled loose powder creates a luminous, airbrushed-effect finish ideal for high-definition, camera-ready looks. The use of this powder can blur and buff away the slightest of imperfections for a pore-fect finish.  Even better, it's available in an exclusive, universally-flattering shade that finishes all skin tones with a soft-focus effect. With key ingredients like oil-absorbing silica and powerful peptides to fight signs of aging, this loose powder is already an MVP.  But, there are so many other ways you can incorporate the Perfecting Powder into your beauty routine.

PERFECTING POWDER HACK #1: Apply Powder Before Foundation

TikTok continues to deliver a creative array of makeup tricks and hacks that blow our minds daily, including this one.  Opposite to the standard practice of applying setting powder last to lock in and secure makeup, this Tik Tok beauty star trick involves using the powder before foundation to soak up oil and act as a shield between your complexion and the rest of your makeup.  We can vouch; this simple addition to our routine left our skin and makeup looking flawless all day long!

PERFECTING POWDER HACK #2: Apply Powder In Between Mascara Coats

Pull a classic makeup artist secret out of your bag for giving lashes a little extra "oomph."  Mirabella's Perfecting Powder can be applied to lashes in between coats of mascara to create added volume and length.  Use a small makeup brush, like Mirabella's Detail Brush, to apply a small amount of setting powder to the upper and lower lash line and then seal with mascara.

PERFECTING POWDER HACK #3: Lock In Lipstick

Lipstick seeming to fade or wear away too quickly?  The Perfecting Powder can be used to prevent color transfer or fading and keep lipstick in place.  First, apply your favorite Sealed with a Kiss Lipstick shade.  Then, place a tissue gently against the lips and use a powder brush to press the setting powder through the tissue.  Voila!  Long-lasting lipstick achieved.

PERFECTING POWDER HACK #4: Combat Oily Skin

If you have oily skin, we're pretty sure you're already a major fan of the Perfecting Powder, and its ability to combat surface shine; however, did you know that this loose powder can come in handy on makeup-free days too?  A dusting of Mirabella's Perfecting Powder can help cut down on shine and limit the need for blotting during the day.

PERFECTING POWDER HACK #5: Bake Like A Pro

Baking is still one of the hottest trends in makeup artistry, and team Mirabella is here to help you tackle the trick with our Perfecting Powder.  This makeup technique uses setting powder to lock in makeup in targeted areas of the face that fade throughout wear.  To successfully bake, apply your foundation followed by an under-eye concealer.  After you've blended the concealer, use a makeup sponge to apply a heavy layer of setting powder on top.  Let the powder set, or "bake," while applying eye makeup.  When finished, sweep excess powder away to reveal bright eyes that won't fade or crease.
